Retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve.

Certified Association Executive (CAE). He was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Explorer Assistant Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, Webelo leader and Order of the Arrow Member. Prior to his appointment as National Executive Director, he was Director of Extension and Public Relations for Sertoma International.

Resides in Lenexa, Kansas, with his wife, Jolene.
