Wilfred is the former President of the Bettis Corporation, a division of Emerson Electric Corporation in Houston, Texas.

Education

• B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin

Fraternity

Activated in 1971 into Alpha Rho Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin. Served as Section 42 Chair (1977-1980). Served as Region VII Director (1980-1988). Served as Member-at-Large (1988-1990), as National Finance Chair. He coordinated the 1986 National Convention in Houston, Texas, and served as an Advisor to the 1988 and 1990 National Conventions. He chaired the National Executive Director Search Committee in 1984 and in 1988 co-chaired the 'Target 30' fund-raising effort for the building of the Fraternity's National Headquarters. Served as National Vice President (1990-1994). Served as National President (1994-1998). Served as 75th Anniversary Committee Chair.

Awards

Awarded the Chapter DSK, Sectional DSK, Regional DSK and National DSK (2000). He is a Gold Founders' Circle Torchbearer.

Community

Wilfred is a Member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Community and serves on the Parish Council.

Personal

Resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Kay Hairgrove Krenek, Beta Sigma, 1979 who served as National Service Chair from 1986-1990, and was the first female elected to the National Board of Directors.
