Joined Alpha Phi Omega in 1936 as a charter member of Alpha Phi Chapter at Washington University in St. Louis. He was elected National President by the 1970 National Convention and served with distinction. Brother Hamilton developed the Task Force concept of study of areas of vital concern to Alpha Phi Omega. During Brother Hamilton's tenure, Joseph Scanlon retired and Roger A. Sherwood was appointed National Executive Director. Served as national vice president (1968-1970). Served as national president (1970-1972).
Awarded the national DSK (1972). Named fall pledge namesake (1972).
Died in March of 1972.
