The Earle M. Herbert Friendship Award

Presented every two years at the national convention to the chapter who has the best overall membership program. The criteria for the award includes training activities, as well as fellowship activities, conducted by the chapter for the pledge and active members. Named in honor of past national president Earle Herbert, the award is intended to honor chapters whose program best meets the needs of the members in maintaining their affiliation with the fraternity. Presentations may be written, verbal or visual; videotape, 15 minutes in length. Selection is made by the national convention's Awards and Appreciation Committee, from among chapters submitting materials for consideration.

 

Award Criteria

• Chapter growth and retention.
• Fellowship activities Pledge, alumni and advisor involvement.
• Rush program Awards and recognitions given by the chapter.
• Attendance at inter-chapter events (sectional, regional and national conventions) Participation in leadership and membership development programs.
