This plaque is presented every two years at the National
Convention to the chapter judged to have the best overall service
program. Selection is made by the Service Reference Committee, from
the chapters submitting materials for consideration.
Award Criteria
Conducted at least one project in each of the four areas of
service:
- Campus - the student body and faculty
- Community - the community as a whole; also the youth of that
community
- Fraternity
- Nation
Participated in National Service Week and reported their project to
the National Office.
Conducted at least one additional project related to the national
program of emphasis.
The percentage of active participation in the chapter's service
program is considered in the selection.
Past Recipients
Note: 1976 was the last year that one specific project was considered for this award. Beginning in 1978, the overall chapter service program was the prime consideration.
