Outline of Planning Steps:We received $200 to prepare for the day.

We spent 1 hour deciding what and where we would have the project.

We decided to have an "Under the Sea Shindig."

We decided to have a sundae bar, a backdrop to take pictures, a fish pond, and crafts to make frames.

We then set the date, place, and decided to go shopping right before the event.

Resources Utilized:YMCA of the USA
Other Organizations:A member of Alpha Sigma Phi came and helped us out the day of the event. He was a friend of an active brother.

During the execution of the project, what areas/procedures went well?

The picture-taking and making of the frames went very well. The kids were able to individualize their frames. The kids really enjoyed the sundae bar. The kids were excited to win a gift card by guessing how many gumballs were in the jar. The kids liked being able to take the fish home.

During the execution of the project, what areas/procedures could have been improved?

The ice cream melted and was very sticky. The fish kept jumping out of the cups. Improvement could have been made in the organization of the project.

Additional information provided regarding this project:

This was a really fun event for the kids and we found a new organization to do activities with. We will be sure to do more with the YMCA in the future.
