Alpha Phi Omega is in the process of hiring a field representative. A field representative is a member of Alpha Phi Omega who wants to help improve the Fraternity. The person in this two-year position will travel to chapters and campuses across the country to provide to chapters with recruitment training, officer training, officer transition workshops, as well as to facilitate Chapter Assessment & Planning Sessions (CAPS), assist struggling chapters with recruitment activities, work with petitioning groups, and represent Alpha Phi Omega in meetings with university administrators on campuses where the Fraternity wishes to expand.
In providing this service to chapters, the field representative will work closely with the Director of Educational Programs at the National Office, regional directors and their staff, sectional chairs, and other volunteers. The person in this position will be based out of the National Office in Independence, Missouri, however they will be expected to travel extensively (80%) during the school year.
The likely candidate for this position will be someone who has recently graduated and who may want to pursue a career in association or non-profit management, communications, sales, business, teaching, leadership or just take a break from school before going on to graduate school.
The person will have demonstrated leadership during their undergraduate experience, excelled academically, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
