Alpha Phi Omega Alumni continue to strive to fulfill the commitment to service.
Brother Ellen Williams, Alumnus of Salisbury University Alpha Alpha Delta Chapter, spearheaded a service project dedicated to creating Hygiene Kits for Homeless Veterans. With support from her family, friends, co-workers and members of the Baltimore Area Alumni Association of Alpha Phi Omega, 40 hygiene kits were donated to the Baltimore Station Shelter, a 144-bed shelter and rehab facility in Baltimore, MD that serves homeless veterans and others in need. Each kit consisted of: nail clippers, wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste, two combs, soap, wash cloths, deodorant, chap stick, small tissues, travel size Gold Bond, pair of socks, and a pack of cards. With help from monetary donations, 45 umbrellas were also donated with the kits. Additionally, thanks to Claire Williams, advisor to Salisbury University Chapter, 40 winters hats were donated, along with other items for the kits.
