Alpha Rho Hosts Second Annual Girl Scout University

Girl Scout University is a project started by Alpha Rho Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin in 2016. For one day in spring, local Girl Scout troops are invited to the campus to learn art skills and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills.

About 130 Girl Scouts attended this event which ran all day from 8am to 5pm. The day included lunch along with a demonstration of a few tricks that Alpha Rho Chapter performs with the Texas flag. In addition to an assortment of classes for the Girl Scouts, classes for the parents were offered as well. Topics range from campus tours, to navigating the college admissions process.
