APO LEADS Training Online:

The Leadership Development Committee and its training team has adapted the training program and presenter development into a series of online and live training sessions.  A series of online courses has been developed in order to familiarize potential presenters with the course material and with presentation styles. Our live courses now focus mainly on practice and watching the potential presenters go through the material and determine if they have enough of a comfort level and understanding with the material to be a full-fledged presenter.

Therefore, it is MANDATORY to attend an online session for the class which you want to present. If you have not attends an online session for the class, you may not attend the practical session. Our facilitators assign parts for the live training based on who has gone through the online trainings; therefore it is an unswayable requirement.  The practical session is limited to 4 participants per trainer, so register early!

Please keep in mind that, in order to complete content training you need to attend the online curriculum review and attend the live practical session to be certified in the course. Prior to taking the content practical session, you must have completed the following three items:

1. Taken the course in question (LAUNCH, ACHIEVE, etc.)
2. Be a certified presenter (Complete the Basic Skills courses)
3. Attended the online curriculum review for the specific module. 4.  Register for the practical session at the National Convention.

Please note that DISCOVER Content Training is not yet available with an online session. DISCOVER Content Training, Curriculum & Practice sessions, will be offered at Nationals, but not at any other locations until that time. (we don’t need to put this on if you don’t think we do….)
