National Volunteer Conference http://www.apo.org/leadershipdevelopment/nationalvolunteerconference en-us Tue, 11 Jun 2013 10:14:49 -0700 National Volunteer Conference http://www.apo.org/leadershipdevelopment/nationalvolunteerconference/nationalvolunteerconference The National Volunteer Conference is a weekend-long event that focuses on providing the alumni of Alpha Phi Omega with the training and resources necessary to be an effective and knowledgeable volunteer.

The National Volunteer Conference (NVC), hosted every odd year during the summer, is an opportunity for Alpha Phi Omega alumni to gather to further develop their skills as effective volunteers of the Fraternity. The weekend-long conference offers the chance for training, feedback opportunities with the Board of Directors, and networking with alumni from across the country. The goal of the conference is to provide alumni volunteers with the training and skills required to be successful, whether the alumni is a recent graduate looking to get involved or a veteran volunteer. The more basic workshops review the essentials of volunteering and advising chapters, while the more detailed sessions discuss chapter and program support and management. In addition to the programming of NVC, this weekend provides the opportunity to network with a number of alumni volunteers from across the nation.
