Requirements -- Applicants must
Be a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and have been initiated the previous JulyBe enrolled at a college/university for the upcoming school yearBe pursuing classes leading to a college or university degreeExhibit volunteerism and unselfish service to othersExhibit significant participation and leadership in extracurricular activities to benefit individuals in need and/or charitable and/or humanitarian organizationsSubmit a John Mack Scholarship Application, with a statement of purpose of educational and career plansSubmit a letter of recommendation from a chapter advisor, or another volunteer leader |
Administrative Notes
Application submissions must be received in the National Office by May 1 or the first business day after if May 1 falls on a weekend.Applications postmarked by May 1 will not be considered.Announcement of the John Mack Scholarship recipient(s) will be made at the end of May.Any awards granted will be submitted to the university directly for the benefit of the student.Expected awards are a one-time scholarship of at least $500 per recipient. |
